The election of Attorney General should not be an obstacle in a developed democratic state. But dis is not the case in Bulgaria, where protests in different form and scale has been going on for two months.

Today, for the first time in the thirty-year history of the young Bulgarian democracy, large civil masses were prevented from expressing their protest outside the building where the election was held. The governors used an unprecedented number of police and in fact the capital of Bulgaria was blocked. The citizens' protest is that contrary to any democratic norms, only one person who has graduated from a police academy was nominated for Attorney general

Currently, several crossroads in the Bulgarian capital are occupied by demonstrators, while at the same time a vote is expected on the election of Ivan Geshev.
